Perhaps you have already spoken before an audience, have given a great speech, have influenced them considerably to your point and have received a standing ovation a few times. Now you wish to improve that foundation you have in persuasive public speaking.<span id="more-38"></span></p>
<p>Here are three ways that can help you to become a more influential speaker.</p>
<p>One, body language. Majority of human communication is done nonverbally, and people commonly respond and understand it very well, having said that we primarily did not have formal education on nonverbal language. In order to effectively connect with your audience, mean what you&#8217;re saying through nonverbal cues.</p>
<p>These include eye contact, hand gestures, pacing and the like to stress your words and statements. For instance, if you&#8217;re trying to imply a very important point, you may point a finger up. If you&#8217;re telling a story, pace a short distance citing you&#8217;re bringing them to a certain point. You would be surprised what difference as an audience it would make if the speaker simply went through his speech purely verbal.</p>
<p>Two, study. Influence is your main concern when speaking before an audience so you have to know what you&#8217;re talking about. You have to persuade them into considering the point that you&#8217;re trying to make by citing facts, accepted truths and sources to show that your speech is actually based on something relevant.</p>
<p>Realize that there is no debate or an exchange between you and them so you have to be very mindful of every single aspect of your speech or they may find you stereotypical; or worse, they may see you contradicting your own statements. Do some research and be open about new ideas and opinions before speaking; this will further guide you how to be a more persuasive speaker.</p>
<p>Three, connection. Treat your audience, no matter how great or small in number, as your utmost concern. They are the reason you are speaking, so feel for them as if your message and efforts will be in vain if you cannot convince them to your point of view.</p>
<p>You have to create a link between you and your audience to successfully deliver your speech. This connection can be made through personal anecdotes, humor or even asking an audience to speak a little.</p>
<p>The goal is to be able to create feelings between you and your audience where they will know that it matters to you that they listen. This will be the basis for a smooth flow for the duration of the speech and probably the key to persuasion.</p>
<p>In a persuasive speech, you as the public speaker should know how to persuade and convince. The audience should be driven to a point of influence that your message will successfully be delivered and received. Repetition of ideas, facts and opinions will bring them to your point and positively boost your persuasive public speaking skills.</p>

<p><strong>1) Be Nice and Friendly.</strong></p>
<p>Smile to brighten up the day. Make a sincere compliment to encourage and raise their spirits. Simple little things like these count a lot.</p>
<p>Make them feel that whenever they need support or just someone who can give them guidance, you&#8217;ll always be there to lend a hand. They would tend to be more receptive to people that they trust and respect.</p>
<p>If you want to ask your boss a favor, do everything you can to please him. Overdeliver and exceed his expectations. Soon, he will notice your efforts and can easily be receptive to your persuasion efforts.</p>
<p><strong>2) Enter their world.</strong></p>
<p>You must understand the situation according to their point of view. Set aside your personal interests and focus on them.</p>
<p>Just pretend that if you are them, what would you do? What would be your suggestion? Then take the appropriate action that would be beneficial to them.</p>
<p>Copy them. Observe how they act, how they speak, and how they think. If they rub their hands while they talk to you, act like them. If they speak at a clear and slow pace, try to do the same thing. This is called mirroring.</p>
<p>In due time, the people you&#8217;re mirroring will subconsciously feel more comfortable with you. It&#8217;s as if they see themselves in you.</p>
<p>However, you must proceed with caution. Mirroring is different from mimicry. Do not let them be aware that you are copying them. They might interpret it as mockery and you&#8217;ll just get into hot water.</p>
<p><strong>3) Provide them with undeniable proof or evidence.</strong></p>
<p>Explain to them how your ideas or opinions could be the most effective methods to implement. Show them undeniable proof that you have the best product by way of testimonials, before and after scenarios, and detailed comparisons against your competitors. Just make sure that all your claims are true and verifiable. Always maintain a good reputation.</p>
<p><strong>4) Satisfy their existing needs and wants.</strong></p>
<p>People are self-centered. They are initially concerned with their own well-being before others. If you can prove that your proposal will provide more advantages to them than to your own, then they will probably accept it.</p>
<p>If you could concentrate more on their interests, desires, needs, and expectations, then you would satisfy their cravings for attention. Moreover, it would show that you really care about them. Mutual trust and respect would be established.</p>
<p>This is the most important thing to remember when persuading anyone. No matter how close you are to becoming like them or how compelling your evidence is, if it does not satisfy the &#8220;What&#8217;s In It For Me?&#8221; test, your persuasion endeavors will not produce satisfactory results. Always bear in mind how they will benefit from your actions.</p>

<p>Here’s my answer:<br />
Yes, that’s true, you can’t control life and it definitely has its own power. Is this a reason not to plan though? I mean, giving up planning because you might fail is like not getting out of your house on a cloudy day because it might rain, or not taking an airplane because it might crash or not falling in love because you might get your heart broken. Avoid doing something because of the risks involved is definitely not the way to go, but the main reason why you should plan is: if you don’t, you might not get anywhere.<br />
If you do plan, maybe things won’t turn out the way you thought and you’re taking the risk of failing, if things go right though you’ll succeed. On the other hand, if you don’t plan, you’ll be stuck where you are for the rest of your life or you might face failure after failure because when you don’t plan, you don’t think about the risks and you don’t prepare for them.</p>
<p>If you’re struggling, wondering why your actions don’t seem to get you anywhere, maybe what you lack the most is focus. You cannot be focused on something if you don’t have a direction, and that’s what goals and plans are for, they keep you on track to get you to a certain place.</p>
<p>Fear of failure or mistakes shouldn’t be a reason to avoid planning, as most achievements were built upon the learning experience of failing over and over. Donald Trump took 7 businesses to bankruptcy before he succeeded. Thomas Edison tried and failed more than 10.000 times before he could make the first light bulb work.</p>
<p>If things don’t happen as you plan, just review your plans, tweak things here and there and go ahead. Just keep your main goal in mind and never give up, one day you’ll get there.</p>

How do you exactly alleviate the fury of a buyer who is livid because of something you, the service or product, or your company failed to perform? This is where influence and persuasion techniques may come in handy.</p>
<p>Because the field of sales is not a walk in the park, there will be times when you will be shouted at, and even hurled harsh words by clients who are not satisfied. Don&#8217;t be alarmed. This is a normal situation. And being so, there are ways to rise above them so that you don&#8217;t break down, too.<span id="more-34"></span></p>
<p>First, find out what the client is angry about. Is he complaining about your service? Is he unclear about certain points in the agreement or the product? Did the problem come from you or did it spring out of his frustration over something he misunderstood? What are his sentiments exactly?</p>
<p>You can find this out by being calm with the client, no matter how irritable he is. Ask politely what the problem is and request that he explain it to you. Don&#8217;t interrupt and try to defend yourself or correct him while he explains. Wait for him to finish and then enumerate all your responses to his problems.</p>
<p>Often, the customer does not really want to know exactly what you are doing to rectify the situation, only that you tell him that steps are being undertaken to correct it, and when precisely this is expected to be solved. One thing clients hate most is continuously waiting for solutions that are not certain to happen.</p>
<p>When you have figured out what he needs, level with him. Building rapport with your client is one of the best ways to get into a straight conversation with him without the flare-ups. This means adopting his current mood. If he is angry, let him know that you understand his feelings. If he is frustrated, empathize. Clients appreciate people who they know feel their pain. When you have succeeded in this, you can expect to have a much calmer discussion right after.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t say something like &#8220;I&#8217;m sorry for that. I&#8217;m already on it.&#8221; Instead, say something like &#8220;I understand that you are angry now. I will feel the same if I were you. Rest assured that I will do everything in my power to correct this matter as soon as possible. I will constantly update you of the developments as I progress.&#8221;</p>
<p>Handling an irate customer is not so difficult if you know how to level with people. Think of it this way. If you were in his shoes, you would be feeling the same way, right? How would you want the other person to face you then? That should always be your guiding strategy. Build rapport with the use of proper persuasion techniques and, together, seek solutions. No issue has ever been solved by an argument.</p>

<p>Most of us have been told, since the moment we were born, that in order to succeed in life, we have to work hard and struggle. It has been said &#8220;no pain, no gain&#8221;. For most people, life is just a long series of struggles.</p>
<p>If that is what you are feeling, I have good news for you! There is an easy way, which will lead to your ultimate destiny in the most stress free manner.</p>
<p>Listen carefully, because this is going to determine whether your life is fulfilling, happy and stress free, leading to a high quality of life.</p>
<p>Here is the ultimate secret of the universe: &#8220;Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change.&#8221;</p>
<p>Pay special attention to these words. Really think about what they mean.</p>
<p>Yes, I hear what you are saying. You have heard it a million times. Everybody knows it. If this is what you are thinking, I must warn you not to take these words lightly. I can tell you 90% of people read these words, and don&#8217;t understand what they truly mean. You can tell by simply watching their lives. If you are not living a happy, fulfilled life RIGHT NOW, I can tell you, &#8220;You are not truly understanding these words”. Then let&#8217;s get down to a deep understanding of this golden rule of success.</p>
<p>As I have discussed in my earlier articles, we are living in a material world, which is made up of molecules, which are made up of atoms, which in turn are made up of subatomic particles. We have also discussed that these subatomic particles act at our commands, they come into existence only when we observe them.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s see what scientists say about these amazing building blocks of this world. The subatomic particle is a kind of wave packet, which can be in the state of wave and particle simultaneously. We describe a particle by its location, and we describe a wave by its momentum. However, the subatomic particle can exist as a particle and a wave at the same time. This sounds very counterintuitive, but it is true.</p>
<p>Either the subatomic particle becomes a particle or it becomes a wave, it depends on how you measure it. If you decide to measure it by its location, it instantly becomes a particle, if you decide to measure it by its momentum, it instantly becomes a wave. It all depends on how we measure (or how we observe) it.</p>
<p>Deepak Chopra in his new book, &#8220;Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desires&#8221;, describes a thought experiment by Erwin Schrödinger. Imagine you have a closed box that contains a wave-particle, a cat, a lever, and a bowl of cat food with a loose lid. If the wave-particle becomes a particle, the particle will trip the lid, and the cat will eat. If the wave-particle becomes a wave, the lid will remain on the food. When we open the box (making an observation), we will either see an empty bowl and a happy cat, or a full bowl and a hungry cat. It all depends on how we observe. Before we open the box, the bowl is both empty and full, and the cat is both fed and hungry. Both possibilities exist at the same time. Deepak says &#8220;It is the observation alone that turns possibility into reality.&#8221;</p>
<p>The whole point is that the basic building block of the material world acts at our command. At the very moment of our observation, it comes into existence. We are the creator of our world. Nothing exists without our observation.</p>
<p>How does that relate to manifesting your desires? Well, it has everything to do with manifesting your desires. Why does our life seem like a struggle? Why don’t we get the money we want? Why don&#8217;t we get the relationship that we have always desired? Why is our life is filled with a long list of never ending problems?</p>
<p>All these are because of our habitual way of observing the world. We have been conditioned that what we are seeing is reality, and we continue to live this way and continue to observe the same things happen in our lives. Let me tell you, your reality is not reality. Only you choose and observe it to be your reality. As soon as you realize your own observation is the cause of everything, then you can literally decide to create another reality. You can decide to observe another reality into your world, only when you choose to.</p>
<p>How do you do it? First, don&#8217;t let your outer world delude you, this is not necessarily the reality. Secondly, observe exactly what you want in your mind, observe it with certainty and clarity, and then let it go, knowing that you have already created your desires at the quantum level. You simply let the universe arrange for it to come to you. When the opportunities come, don&#8217;t forget to take action and express your gratitude. Everything begins with your change of the way you look at your world.</p>
<p>Remember &#8220;Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change.&#8221;<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I’ve always wondered about the best way to live my life. Would it be enjoying every moment as if it was my last day on earth? Living life to the fullest? Or would it be better to plan every step of the way, so I could get to where I wanted? I believed carpe diem was my philosophy of living for a long time. But I realize now, I didn’t quite know what the real meaning of carpe diem was. <span id="more-32"></span></p>

<p>For a long time I had the naïve idea that enjoying life was about living it to the fullest with no concerns, no plans, no strings… As the years went by though, I realized that the things that I used to dream about doing in my life were far, very far away. I had drifted away from my dreams for the sake of living with no rules.<br />
I used to think I was living the “carpe diem way of life”, making every moment a great moment, and turning my life into a sequence of good memories. But as the future of my carefree years approached, I started to feel anxious. There was a lot of things I wanted to do, dreams I had that were not happening because I was too busy living life. I started to wonder “when” I was going to do the things I wanted, because if I did nothing, they would never happen. When I finally realized I had to DO something, my life started to change.</p>
<p>Looking at successful people’s lives, I started to think about the real meaning of the word ‘carpe diem’. What if seizing the day doesn’t actually mean living life as if there’s no tomorrow? What if carpe diem is not about living with no plans? Because my life with no plans wasn’t going anywhere, and the places I wanted to be were getting further and further away by the day. Why couldn’t I enjoy life while following the plans I had for my life?</p>
<p>Two movies changed the way I see the meaning of carpe diem: Groundhog Day and Dead Poets Society. The first movie is about a weather man (played by Bill Murray) that gets stuck in time. He lives the same day over and over. I think the whole message of the movie is about how we use our time. The final message is that you should use it wisely, doing things that are valuable to you and the others around you. It’s about making everything you do worthwhile. At some point in the movie he tries to ‘live as if there’s no tomorrow’, and in his case, it was true, he would wake up again on the same day over and over for eternity. But he realizes that living like that is not worth it, it’s meaningless, even if there’s really ‘no tomorrow’.</p>
<p>Dead Poets Society is a wonderful movie with Robin Williams playing a teacher that tries to break the school rules by telling his students to make little changes that would make their lives worth living. It’s about enjoying the moment without losing perspective of the future, making your life extraordinary.</p>
<p>That’s the key for adopting carpe diem as a philosophy in your life. If you stop for a moment and look at your life as if you were 90 years old, what would you like to remember as the greatest moments? How would you like to tell your story? If you see life from a backwards perspective, you realize that not everything that you know now as a ‘life enjoying activity’ is worth doing AND if you keep doing nothing to make your dreams come true, they won’t. I learned that the real meaning of carpe diem is to make life worthwhile from a long term perspective.</p>

<p>Maybe you don’t know how to set goals, or you’re not good at planning. Maybe you have issues managing your time or keeping focused. It’s not a big deal, really. The big deal is when you don’t realize that you are in fact the choices you make and you keep blaming outside events and people for your failures. When you see yourself as a victim, you feel like your arms are tied. If you have an issue with anything else, you know it’s just a matter of putting a little bit more effort and trying a little bit harder, but when you are convinced that your problems are caused by something or someone other than yourself, you cross your arms and cry. You don’t feel like there’s anything you can do.</p>
<p>“It’s all about choices and how you respond to every situation. If you are in the habit of continually making bad choices, disaster often occurs. Your everyday choices ultimately determine whether you end up living with abundance or living in poverty.”- Jack Canfield</p>
<p>People usually find several excuses to justify with logic why they can’t be blamed for the results they got in life. These people probably will never be successful with ANYTHING in their lives, until they change their mindset. Successful people don’t whine, they just do whatever they’re supposed to do to get what they want. They take responsibility for their actions and if something goes wrong, they just correct or change their plans and go on, with no drama, no whining.</p>
<p>It took many years for James Cameron to get Titanic done. Everybody around him thought it would never be made, then that it would flop in the box office. Have you ever seen him whining on interviews, complaining that certain people didn’t want the movie to be made?</p>
<p>Soichiro Honda, the founder of Honda went through the most unbelievable and unpredictable things, though he managed to build one of the biggest automotive companies in the world. He could have just blamed all the horrible things that happened to him, after all, nothing that happened was his fault! But no, he CHOSE to face the obstacles. He never complained. He never thought he was a victim.</p>
<p>Viktor Frankl was a Jew in the 2nd World War. He and his entire family were arrested and placed into concentration camps. Out of his entire family, including his pregnant wife, Viktor was the sole survivor. He had all the reasons to feel like a poor victim, right? But he didn’t. Not only did he help many fellow prisoners to face those horrible events, but he also survived the camps and wrote many books on how the way people respond to what happens to them determines their future and the way they feel (happiness).</p>
<p>Yes, sometimes things that happen to us come from the outside, **it was not our fault**, but the way we respond to it makes all the difference, and we DO always have a choice. If Viktor Frankl had a choice as a prisoner in a concentration camp, why do you think you don’t have a choice in your life?</p>
<p>Think about it. You can choose to whine for the rest of your life and use logic to justify your failures, or you can choose to ignore the losers, face the obstacles (even if they’re not your fault) and do whatever it takes to get what you want in life. It IS really just a matter of choices…</p>

Wealth, health and relationships are just the rewards of being happy. Happiness is a state of vibration that is in harmony with the universe. <span id="more-30"></span></p>
<p>As you already know, the same frequency vibrations tend to attract each other, so the vibration of happiness is going to attract more wealth, better relationships and better health, since these things are going to add more happiness to your life, and they are in the same vibration. If you go after money, you may not get it, but if you go after happiness, money will flow to you. The same applies to relationships and health.</p>
<p>I believe the ultimate goal in life is to achieve a state of well being, or we can simply say happiness.</p>
<p>Is there an easier way to achieve happiness? The answer is Yes! and I am now going to show you how.</p>
<p>I have learned one phrase from Dr Wayne Dyer, that I will never forget. The phrase is &#8220;How may I serve?&#8221;. Dr Dyer said that before his seminars, he always meditates, and repeats the phrase as a mantra &#8220;How may I serve&#8230; How may I serve?&#8221;. He never brings any notes with him, and when he speaks, the words just keep flowing to him. He knows exactly what to say, and what to teach. Dr Wayne Dyer is one of my favorites role models. He has achieved great success in almost every area of his life. I believe the one single most important element in Dr Wayne Dyer&#8217;s success is this mantra &#8220;How may I serve?&#8221;</p>
<p>Ask yourself now &#8220;How may I serve?&#8221;. This is the key to ultimate happiness and fulfillment in life. I would like to share some of my own experience.</p>
<p>The most enjoyable thing in my life at this stage is writing articles that can make a difference to the quality<br />
of people&#8217;s lives. Whenever I finish writing an article, I feel positive energy throughout my body. I sometime get puzzled myself! Where does this information come from? How do I write so many articles, having thousands of people read my articles every week? I have finally realized the secret is within this phrase &#8220;How may I serve?&#8221;</p>
<p>Every time I write an article for my newsletter, I sit in front of my computer, and ask myself &#8220;How may I serve? How may I serve?&#8221;. Strangely, the ideas come, and I put my fingers on the keyboard, and words just start flowing.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t understand how this process works, until one day I realized that the information does not come from me, it comes from a Higher Intelligence, I am only a channel for the information to flow. I am a channel created to serve the world. Because that is what I am here for, when I am serving, I feel positive energy, and I feel happy.</p>
<p>I have learned that my life purpose is to serve, and I think this is applicable to everyone. You will only feel<br />
truly fulfilled once you realize this truth. &#8220;Your life purpose is to serve&#8221;. I am sure you have heard that &#8220;If you<br />
seek happiness for yourself, it will always elude you, if you seek happiness for others, you will find it for yourself.&#8221;</p>
<p>I know this is why every time I finish an article, I feel so happy, because I know that my article is going to benefit thousands of people, and it is going to change the world to some small extent.</p>
<p>Maybe 90% of people will not take any action after they read my articles, this is the nature of human beings, but I know as long as they read them, their awareness will be expanded, and they will see a difference in the long run. For that less than 10% of people who do take action, I know my words are going to change their lives for the better. What a great thing I am doing! I am proud of it. I feel very happy about it.</p>
<p>So starting from today, find ways to help other people. Find some way to serve. You will get addicted to it,<br />
because it is so enjoyable helping others. Your help is going to change people&#8217;s lives.</p>
<p>I often receive emails from my subscribers asking me for help. Can you imagine how happy I am after I’ve answered their questions? I know that this person&#8217;s life is going to change for the better just because of my words. How wonderful that is!</p>
<p>Here is a secret I want you to know&#8230;</p>
<p>The person who benefits the most is not the one you give service to, but yourself. You may find it sounds strange, but this is true, and it is governed by the universal law of cause and effect.</p>
<p>Anything you cause others to experience will come back to you, and multiplied. If you cause others to experience love, you will find more love in your life; if you cause others to have wealth, you will have more in your own life; if you cause others to succeed, you are guaranteed to succeed. This is the law of the universe, and it never fails. So, whatever you want to experience in your life, cause others to experience it first.<br />
This is the most powerful way to attain your own desires, and the easiest way to achieve happiness.</p>

Qualities of an influential leader</p>
<p>Thus, you have to influence others to follow in order to meet the team&#8217;s need of achievement. You also have to make quick decisions regarding the group to protect their best interests. Some members may not understand your nature or may even feel it unnecessary or simply wrong; but through persuasion, your followers will heed.<br />
Persuasive leadership strategies</p>
<p>Persuasion strategies also leads the group to attain a common goal as you may try to show the process, the end results, and the rewards of accomplishment to encourage them that their efforts will not be in vain.</p>
<p>These persuasion strategies used to accomplish the following stated above are strengthened by repetition and done through different methods varying with every leader.</p>
<p>But it is you, being a good leader, that defines the appropriate ways to do so, selfless and team-concerned. You must neither use coercion nor persuasive force, but gentle kindness. There is no such thing as willful submission with the use of force. If there is, it is bound to fail or short-lived.</p>
<p>Be open and honest with the consequences at hand and do not give false promises just to make your group comply. You must be the type who steps into the battlefield first and leaves last. Through your own selfless example, the group will be persuaded that their best interests are served; thus allowing them to willfully follow. Some may even give up their own best interests for the sake of the group&#8217;s well being.</p>
<p>To learn the effective persuasion strategies of a good leader, recognize your members&#8217; needs and learn how you can work together to attain them. Convince them that there is joy in the sense of fulfillment, preservation of the group itself, and the rewards of an accomplished goal.</p>
<p>It is only in the beginning that persuading members is rather difficult; but as you and your team grow and they see that you are progressing towards a common interest, they will follow. Also, establish rapport and build a trusting environment so that the group&#8217;s future pursuits are ensured with unquestioning faith.</p>

It has helped many ordinary people achieve extraordinary results in their lives. It has turned many failures into successes. It has made many miracles happen in the history of human evolution. However, the majority of people who use affirmation find that it doesn’t work. Why is this the case? What are the elements that people have missed when they use affirmation techniques? I constantly ask myself these questions, and seek for the answers. The result is, no one book gives the complete answer. Some tips given in one book work for a specific situation, but not for others. Other books give other tips that work for other situations, but not for this. I have tested and filtered out the ineffective ones, and left only what I call the ultimate effective technique secrets.<span id="more-28"></span><br />
<strong><br />
The purpose of affirmation:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Before I give you the effective techniques, I must make you understand the true purpose of affirmation. Simply stated, the purpose of affirmation is to pass a command from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind has the ability, in anything it accepts as true, to do whatever it takes to turn it into reality. The purpose of an affirmation is to pass a message to the subconscious mind, and to make it believe the message is true. So this brings us to the first element of an effective affirmation.<br />
<strong><br />
1.The affirmation must be believable to the subconscious mind</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Most of the affirmations people use, fail at this first stage. They tend to give an unrealistic message to the subconscious mind, hoping for a positive response. If you are financially broke, and you say to yourself “I earn $100,000 per year”, is this believable to your mind? If your body is totally out of shape, and you say to yourself “I am very attractive”, is this believable to your mind? I doubt it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">What if you are currently broke, and you want to make $100,000 per year? What if you are out of shape, and you want to make yourself attractive? I find the best and easiest way is to use the word “I choose” in your<br />
affirmation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Instead of saying “I earn $100,000 per year.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Say “I choose to earn $100,000 per year”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Instead of saying “I am very attractive”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Say “I choose to feel that people find me attractive”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Do you feel the difference?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>2.The subconscious mind seeks for proof</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There is a misconception that the affirmation must be repeated thousands of times before it can be installed in the subconscious mind. This is not necessarily true. You can use the repetition method to embed your affirmation, but there is an easier way. It is, at the time you find the proof, state your affirmation. Many people stay in poverty because they associate pain with money. Whenever they spend their money, they think of their bills, loans etc. This will automatically lead to ultimate pain. It is the feeling you attach to money that makes you rich or poor.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">How can we turn this to our advantage? Instead of feeling pain when spending money, what if we associate pleasure with it? Next time when you go out shopping, at the moment you take out your money or credit card, say this affirmation to yourself “I always have more than enough to spend.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">See how you feel. This works because the subconscious mind sees the proof. As long as you have some money left in your pocket, this affirmation is always true, so the subconscious mind will believe it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">How about if we combine the first and second methods together and make an affirmation like this: “I choose to feel that I always have more than enough to spend.” Say this at the time you spend your money. See how you feel. You don’t have to repeat it thousands of times, a few times of real life proof will make your subconscious mind believe it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>3.The affirmation must trigger feelings</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A fact about the subconscious mind is that it does not speak in words, you can only communicate with it through feelings, and emotions. There are two methods that you can use to trigger your feelings. The first method is to use words that involve feelings. Words like “fun, enjoyable, comfortable, delightful” will work effectively. The second method is to use imagination. Visualize that the situation stated in your affirmation has already come true. See yourself in that situation and feel the feelings.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>4.The affirmation must obey the 3 Ps factor.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The 3 Ps are Positive, Present Tense, and Personal.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Affirmations must be stated positively. Instead of saying “I am not fat”, say “I choose to stay slim”. The reason for this is that before the mind knows the meaning of, “I am not fat”, it must think of what fat means first. So saying that statement will inevitably lead to the feeling of being fat.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Affirmations must be in the present tense. Many books mention this. However, I only agree to some extent. If you say “I have a luxury car”, your mind will not believe you. The reason I include this here is that once it is combined with the first technique, it will work perfectly. Now say “I choose to have a luxury car”. Your mind will do its best to bring it into reality.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Affirmations must be personal. Your subconscious mind only works for you, not for others. If you say “Ann loves me”, it will not be effective, because you have no control over Ann. Now say “I choose to feel that Ann really loves me”.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This time you are in control, because you can control your own feelings.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>5.Personal development affirmations should be stated in the comparative</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“I am confident” may not be as effective as “I am becoming more and more confident”.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">An even better affirmation might be “I choose to feel more and more confident”.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The reason for using the comparative, is because there is no end to how much more confident you can become. Otherwise, your mind may think you are already confident enough, and it will not need to do any more work.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">These 5 techniques are the most effective ones that I have found from my research on affirmations. If you can use all the 5 techniques, I guarantee your results will be amazing. Even if you only use one or two of the techniques stated here, you will find your affirmations will become far more effective.</p>
